I found a female blogger’s old post that said more in one messy SMS exchange than most people manage in a whole sermon, because the frustration was plain as day. Once a woman starts spelling out the problem that clearly, the whole mystery pretty much walks out the door.

In her post, the man keeps asking vague questions and pushing the planning back on her, and she keeps docking him strike after strike. She says she hates guys who push decisions to girls, calls it un-manly, and eventually writes him off as a gone case. There’s nothing to add, because the conversation is already a live demonstration of what happens when a guy refuses to take the lead and a woman loses patience with the delay.

Then she makes it plain: no matter how independent a lady is, she still needs a man, not a wimp. That’s the part people keep pretending not to hear, but women often reveal the whole script when they’re annoyed enough to stop filtering themselves. There’s nothing i can add to help elaborate the texts, its all clear in plain black and white.

She’s basically admitting what turns women on while yelling at the same time, which is why the example is so useful. It’s an age old concept on blogs like mine: women want confidence, decisiveness, and a man who leads instead of dithering. The fundamentals never really change, and if you forget that, a simple text exchange will remind you the hard way.
